In Asahidake of Mt.Daisetsu, you can take the rope way up to the Sugatami station elevated 1,600m and enjoy self-guided hike. Asahidake is the highest peak of Hokkaido(2,291m)and an active volcano still lots of smokes rising from the mountain ground. Not only the massive view of Asahidake, but also colorful alpine flowers blooming in July attract hikers here.
Otaru “Blue cave” is a part of Niseko-Shakotan-Otaru Kaigan Quasi national park, which is the Marine protected area covering around Shakotan peninsula and Otaru. 80min small boat tour will take you along the unique geological landscape of the Otaru coast and the beautiful cave formed by seawater erosion. When sunlight shines to the cave, absorbing six of the seven colors of light in the sea, leaving only blue, making the sea surface glow blue. You will also have free time in Otaru to walk around the famous Otaru Canal.
Lake Shikotsu in Shikotsu-Toya National Park is a deep volcanic lake well known for its crystal clear water. You can experience this clear underwater world by guided glass bottom kayaking tour as well as the views of volcanic mountains surround the lake.
The highlight of Noboribetsu Onsen is Jigokudani which means “Hell Valley”. There are several walking trails through the wooded hills and hot steam vents, sulfurous streams and other volcanic activity can be seen here. You will have around 2 hours here to enjoy self-guided walk to feel the tremendous power of the earth.

Itinerary

	Summary
1	Meet your English speaking driver at Sapporo New-Chitose airport at 10:30am. Transfer to Asahikawa by private car. Enroute stop at Frano town for visiting flower farm “Shikisai no Oka” where the variety of colorful flowers are blooming during summer between June to August. Next stop will be the Shirogane Blue Pond renowned for its unreal blue color water and Shirahige waterfalls before arriving your hotel in Asahikawa by 17:00pm. Overnight in Asahikawa: WBF Grande Asahikawa or similar \| Meal included: None
2	Depart hotel at 08:30 am for the foot of Asahidake peak of Mt. Daisetsu. You can take the rope way up to the station elevated around 1,500m and enjoy self guided hike of “Sugatami no ike “ circuit. It will be around 2hours hike for enjoying the stunning views of Mt. Asahidake and volcanic smoke rising from the mountain surface. in July, the mountains become awash with bright alpine vegetation and blooms of alpine flowers. In the afternoon, you will visit several view points of the patchwork hills and fields of flowers in Biei town. Back to your hotel in Asahikawa at 17:30 Overnight in Asahikawa: WBF Grande Asahikawa or similar \| Meal included: Breakfast
3	Depart hotel at 08:30 am for the port of Otaru. You will have 80min shared open boat tour of Otaru, Shakotan Blue cave renowned for the beautiful contrast between the rugged rocky coast and the fresh blue sea surface. After the boat trip, you will be transferred to your hotel in Otaru and have free afternoon. It is good time to walk around Otaru Canal where the brick storehouses built between the late 19th and early 20th centuries are lined along the canal. 4	Depart hotel at 08:30 am for Lake Shikotsu which is a part of Shikotsu-Toya National Park. Participate guided glass bottom kayaking tour to experience one of the highest-quality water in Japan as you paddle glass bottom kayak on Lake Shikotsu. In the afternoon, visit Jigokudani of Noboribetsu Onsen. There are numerous openings and fumaroles along the valley, and the scenery of bubbling and boiling water inspired the name “Oni no sumu jigoku” (Where the demon’s live). You will have 2 hours to explore this area by walking through the several trails to see volcanic activity and scenery. Arrive at your hotel in Lake shikotsu at 17:30. Overnight in Lake Shikotsu : Lake Shikotsu Kokumin Kyukamura or shimilar Meal included : Breakfast and dinner
5	Depart hotel at 10:00 for Sapporo Shin-Chitose airport for your departure. Tour ends at the airport around 11:00am. Meal included : breakfast

**Asahidake rope way may not be operated in case of bad weather or strong wind.
**Otaru Blue Cave boat tour and Glass bottom kayaking tour in Lake Shikotsu may not be operated in case of bad weather/sea・lake conditions. In that case, we will refund guided tour fee by bank transfer (banking charge will be deducted).
